Peace in Iraq


It is time to end the war and bring the troops home, but America has a responsibility to the health and well being of people in the middle east.  The best course of action is to get out of Iraq.  Our continued occupation is only fueling already existent tensions in that country while driving up our federal deficit.  In order to achieved peace in Iraq, I support the following actions:

1.I support the immediate cessation of all activities in Iraq which involve American troops. 
2.I support the immediate withdrawal of American troops from Iraq, Kuwait, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. 
3.I support the closing of all American Military bases in Iraq.
4.I support restitution to the Iraqi People for the damage that we have done to their infrastructure. 
5.I support the establishment of a federal fund to address the ongoing damage depleted uranium will cause to future generations of Iraqis.
6.I support long term health care dollars going to American GI's who will also inevitably suffer from the affects of exposure to depleted uranium. 
7.I support redeployment of national guard troops at home, especially in New Orleans and the Gulf Region, where they are really needed to help rebuild a devastated city.
